HIAWATHA BEHAVIORAL HEALTH is seeking applications for an Assistant Home Manager in Sault Ste. Marie to assist Residential Supervisor in the day to day operations of a home in compliance with all applicable HBH and DHS policies and procedures.  Provide direct supervision for contractual aides.  Hours of work may vary according to needs. 

Qualifications:  High school diploma or equivalent required.  One year experience working in residential setting with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness; supervisory experience preferred.  Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate written and verbal information, and work with a team providing services to the developmentally disabled. Must be at least 18 years of age.  Appointment subject to criminal background check.  A valid driver's license is required.

HIAWATHA BEHAVIORAL HEALTH is seeking applications for a Continuous Quality Improvement and Authorization/Utilization Assistant in its Manistique office to provide administrative support to the Continuous Quality Improvement and Utilization Management functions and activities within HBH; and work closely with all HBH programs and departments to maintain efficient and effective structure and systems.   

Qualifications:  Associates degree in social work or business administration preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.  Experience with computer systems and data base programs required, preferably in a health care setting.  Must be able to create and produce reports from all relevant data bases; write reports, correspondence and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from staff and consumers.   Appointment subject to criminal background check.  A valid driver's license is required, and must be able to provide own transportation.

Qualifications:  Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent.  One year experience working in residential setting with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illness.  Supervisory experience preferred.  Must be able to work cooperatively with agency staff, consumers and community members.  Must be at least 18 years of age.  Appointment subject to criminal background check.  A valid driver's license is required, and must be able to acquire Chauffeur's license.

HIAWATHA BEHAVIORAL HEALTH is seeking applications for a full-time Psychiatric Registered Nurse to assist Physicians/Psychiatrists, under the direction of the Medical Director, in providing outpatient psychiatric services.  Responsibilities include perform nursing duties with outpatient psychiatric clients; perform necessary liaison, advocacy and consultation work with ancillary agencies such as DHS, courts, physicians, hospitals, foster care providers, clinicians and families; and act as case manager for clients who receive medication/psychiatric services only.  Position will be located in the Sault Ste. Marie office.

Qualifications:  State of Michigan license to practice as a registered nurse and diploma from a recognized school of nursing or the equivalent required; prior experience working with individuals with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities preferred; must meet standards as a Qualified Mental Health Professional at the end of one year of employment in the position.  Must possess working knowledge of community resources and have good negotiating skills.    Computer experience preferred.  Appointment is subject to criminal background check.
